Harbour is an offline-first personal finance app developed and maintained by Aca Maulana, an independent developer publishing under the name Wanakerta and based in Purwakarta, Indonesia (“we”, “us”, or “Harbour”). This policy explains how the Harbour Android app handles information.
The short version
- Your financial records stay on your device by default. Harbour does not need an online Harbour account to store your everyday records.
- Only features you choose connect to other services. These include Google Drive backup, Google Play purchases and Plus checks through RevenueCat, and model downloads or sign-in through Hugging Face.
- AutoWrite is optional. When enabled, it reads notifications from supported apps on your device and may keep the original notification text in a draft.
- Ask Pilot runs locally. Its chat history is not saved, although downloading some models may involve Hugging Face.
- You remain in control. You can edit or delete records, disable optional features, revoke permissions, export a backup, or clear Harbour’s local data.
Scope
This policy covers the Harbour Android app. The static Harbour website is where this policy is published; it is not part of the app data practices described below.
Connected services have their own privacy policies and are responsible for the information they process through their services.

Information stored on your device
Harbour stores the information you add to the app, such as accounts and balances, transactions and transfers, budgets, recurring entries, bills, categories, tags, templates, drafts, notes, and settings.
Depending on the features you use, Harbour may also store reminder history, AutoWrite notification text, backup details, App Lock credentials, and downloaded AI models. Harbour uses this information to keep your records, calculate summaries, run reminders, restore backups, and provide the features you choose.
This information stays on your device unless you use a feature that sends specific information elsewhere, as explained below.
App Lock
If you enable App Lock, its credentials and security settings stay on the device and are protected using Android security features. They are not included in Harbour backups, so restoring a backup does not replace App Lock on the destination device.
App Lock adds a barrier inside Harbour, but it does not replace your Android screen lock or the need to keep your device and connected accounts secure.
AutoWrite and Notification Access
AutoWrite is an optional preview feature currently designed for notifications from supported apps in Indonesia. Before it can work, you must grant Android Notification Access and choose which supported sources Harbour may use.
Harbour checks whether a notification came from a supported bank, e-wallet, marketplace, or related app. It then reads the notification on your device and tries to identify transaction details. Notification formats can change, so AutoWrite may miss, duplicate, or misunderstand a transaction.
When Harbour recognises a transaction, it may create a draft containing the extracted details and the original notification text. If you turn on “Save without review”, an eligible result may be saved directly as a transaction. The original notification can contain names, balances, partial identifiers, or purchase details, so review the result before relying on it.
Harbour does not send your notification text to Wanakerta. You can disable AutoWrite, turn off individual sources, disable direct saving, or revoke Notification Access in Android settings. Harbour does not currently promise automatic deletion of transaction drafts; delete drafts you no longer need or use the broader deletion controls below.
Ask Pilot and Hugging Face
Ask Pilot is a preview feature that uses a downloaded AI model on your device. Questions and answers are processed locally, and Harbour does not save a chat history. The conversation may disappear when you leave the screen or the app process ends.
AI answers can be incomplete or wrong. Check important information against your own records or a qualified professional.
Harbour connects to Hugging Face when you download a model. Hugging Face and its infrastructure receive ordinary network information, such as your IP address, basic device and request information, the requested file, and download status.
Some models may require a Hugging Face account. If you choose to sign in, Harbour stores the sign-in credentials securely on your device so it can continue the download. Signing out of Harbour does not delete your Hugging Face account or information already held by Hugging Face. See the Hugging Face Privacy Policy.
Backups and Google Drive
Manual export and Google Drive backup are optional. A backup can contain your financial records, drafts, templates, budgets, recurring entries, bills, and supported app settings. App Lock credentials are not included.
Harbour encrypts the main backup contents. However, this is not end-to-end encryption using a personal password known only to you. Treat backup files as sensitive and store exported copies somewhere you trust.
If you connect Google Drive:
- Harbour stores the selected Google account email on your device so it can show which account is connected;
- Harbour can access only its own private application data area, not your general Drive files;
- Harbour keeps two rotating backups: the latest and the previous backup; and
- the encrypted backup and basic information needed to manage it are sent to Google Drive.
Disconnecting Google Drive stops Harbour from using that connection, but it does not automatically delete backups already stored by Google. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Purchases and Harbour Plus
Harbour Plus purchases are processed by Google Play. Harbour does not receive or store your full card number.
Harbour uses RevenueCat to show available purchases, check whether Harbour Plus is active, and restore purchases. For this purpose, RevenueCat receives an anonymous app identifier, purchase tokens and status, and basic device and app information. RevenueCat does not receive the financial records you keep in Harbour.
Harbour keeps a limited local record of your last verified plan so Plus can continue working briefly when you are offline. See the Google Privacy Policy and RevenueCat Privacy Policy for their respective practices.
Reminders and Android notifications
If you enable them, Harbour may show Android notifications for drafts, bills, budgets, or model downloads. Your reminder settings and history stay on your device. You can turn reminders off in Harbour or manage Harbour’s notification permission and channels in Android settings.
What Harbour does not do
Harbour does not include advertising or behavioural analytics, sell your personal or financial information, or track you across apps for advertising. Wanakerta does not operate a server that receives your financial ledger during ordinary app use.
Notification Access is used only for the AutoWrite feature you configure, not for advertising or profiling.
How long information is kept
Records stored by Harbour remain on your device until you edit or delete them, clear the relevant data, clear Android app storage, or uninstall the app. Harbour does not currently promise automatic deletion of transaction drafts.
Ask Pilot chat is not saved. Downloaded models and partial downloads remain until you delete or cancel them, clear app storage, or uninstall Harbour.
Google, RevenueCat, and Hugging Face keep information under their own retention rules. Disconnecting a service from Harbour does not necessarily erase information already held by that service.
Your deletion choices
- Deleting an item in Harbour removes that item and related app records, but does not remove other records, settings, subscriptions, or backup copies.
- Clear Data inside Harbour removes your database records while keeping built-in categories. It does not remove general app settings, App Lock, or external backups.
- Clearing Harbour’s Android storage or uninstalling the app removes local app data from that device. It does not cancel Harbour Plus or delete external accounts and backups.
- External data must be managed separately. Delete exported or Drive backups where they are stored, manage Hugging Face through Hugging Face, and cancel subscriptions through Google Play.
Restoring an older backup can bring back records you previously deleted from the device.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. You may also be able to complain to your local data protection authority.
For users in Indonesia, requests are handled consistently with the Personal Data Protection Law, Law No. 27 of 2022. Users in the EEA or UK may have rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR. California residents may have rights under applicable California privacy law. Mandatory rights in other countries also continue to apply.
Most Harbour data exists only on your device. The fastest way to access, correct, export, or delete it is usually through Harbour or Android settings, and we cannot retrieve records we never received. For information actually controlled by us, contact developer@wanakerta.com.
Children
Harbour is not designed or marketed for children. Anyone who cannot legally agree to these terms or manage personal finance information under local law should use Harbour only with permission and appropriate supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
Harbour does not currently provide an age gate or a system for verifying guardian consent.
Security
Harbour uses Android security features and encrypts supported backup data and sign-in credentials. No app, device, backup method, or network transfer can be guaranteed completely secure.
Keep Android updated, use a strong screen lock, protect connected accounts, review permissions, and store backup files somewhere you trust.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Harbour, the law, or a connected service changes. The “Last updated” date will change, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes through the app, website, store listing, or another suitable channel when practical.
